Seven time World Champion All-around Cowboy, Ty Murray calls Roxanne Martin “the best cowboy artist in the country and a great friend”. Through tones and textures, these intimate graphite drawings and watercolor paintings express the romanticism of the cowboy and his world.

Roxanne Martin is an accomplished North American artist who uses the professional photographs she takes as inspiration for her graphite drawings. She graduated with a honors degree in Fine Arts from the University of Alberta and began her professional career with a solo show at the SUB Gallery in 1974.

An early highlight of her career was the creation of the first graphite show for her works at the prestigious Woltjen-Udell Gallery (now renamed Doug Udell Galley) in 1984, where she was featured alongside such artists as Andy Warhol and Christopher Praff. Martin’s continuing desire is to bring the character of Rodeo a wider appreciation. Over the years, she has donated many of her originals and limited edition fine art prints to rodeo benefit causes.

Her fine works are found in many corporate and private collections throughout the world, including legends Ty Murray and Bob Taliman. Molson Breweries of Canada Ltd. commissioned an original painting to be used for their 1996- 1998 Coors Chute-Out poster, along with T-shirts and collectors edition beer cans. In 1997, Wrangler Inc. invited Martin to participate in the Wrangler Champion Endorsee Program and was featured across Canada in a CBC documentary, which can be still seen on television today.
